The first buzzard of spring, a welcome, and a hug

Just this week, I have seen a total of five turkey buzzards.   I don't think I've ever seen vultures before March.  What the heck?? This is insanely early for the vultures to return.  I wonder if this means an early spring?

I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!

We haven't even had our usual winter yet, (on the southern Oregon coast that means rain and wind-lots of it) and I am getting very nervous. Does this mean an incredible stormy, wet spring and early summer, ruining my garden yet again, or does it mean the start of a drought.

We're seeing signs of spring everywhere too...lovely in some ways, verve racking in others. (Will the fruit trees' blooms freeze off later??) Anyway, keep writing, enjoy the easy winter, I know we are in Oklahoma!

Ruth, I know exactly what you mean. Last winter, we had plenty of sunshine, but then none at all in the spring. It's been soggy ever since.

Goose, I'm also worried about the blossoms. Our wild roses already have a few leaves!
