I'll never get tired of living in the country

Today there was a deer watching me work in the garden. I ran inside to get the camera, but when I came back, he was gone.

While I was looking for the deer, an indigo bunting buzzed my head.

When I woke up this morning, there was a red squirrel sitting outside my window eating sunflower seeds.

As I was putting up the hay this afternoon, I watched hummingbirds and butterflies in the field, saw a groundhog run into the neighbor's field, and nearly fell into a rabbit burrow. lol

I spent a couple of hours this afternoon picking wild blackberries.

Some mornings, I have coffee while walking through the woods... in my pj's.

Right now, I'm listening to crickets, frogs, and katydids.

I really don't think I will ever get tired of this.

You've got a real Snow White sort of thing going on ... things buzzing around your head and following you around and all. Sound awesome! Times like this I remember to enjoy it now ... Fall is coming soon!

Lol!! You are right about that, Mouse! Just a couple of weeks ago, I was driving down our street, and there were chipmunks running across the road, then a deer, and then a mom and baby wild turkeys, then some bluebirds...I kept watching for Snow White to come prancing across the road, too. lol

Haha, the Snow White comments were funny...

I don't think I'd ever get tired of it either...I've always been such a nature girl. I feel stifled in the hot summers here. I can't wait till fall, so I can get out more.

OK, rub it in. I wake up in the morning to the sound of sirens or a car horn - enchanting, really. Then my morning progresses to standing in my driveway glaring at the same old man that lets his dog poop in my front yard. As the sun moves higher in the sky, my late morning ends by hearing the orchestra-like city bulldozers tearing up the main street to replace the sewer lines. How sweet the sounds, how sweet...

SG, I feel your pain. I lived in the city and was usually woken by a boomer (one of those car stereos that would shake the dishes off the table), gunshots, or yelling.

As for the dog poop, I had one neighbor that used to throw the poop back at the dog's owner, or at least at their house (I can't remember which lol).
