Almost ready for Christmas!

Almost.  I still have a couple of things to wrap, I have a sewing project to finish, and I haven't even started baking.  In fact, I'm sort of skimping on the homemade stuff this year.  *Collective gasp of horror*  Yeah, I know: I'm Country Wife, I'm a homesteader, and that means everything has to be from scratch, blahdy blahdy blah.  

Things have been particularly hectic lately, and I just don't have the time or energy to go all-out.  In fact, if I get a few days of not having to leave the house over our holiday vacation period, I will be thrilled.

I did get the housework done today, which was a huge accomplishment.  If I'd let it go any longer, we'd be living in a cocoon.  Spiders seem to get an easy ride inside, hibernating on the firewood, then wake up and start spinning like mad...all over the house.  Ick.

So...spider webs are vacuumed away, along with their creepy little architects; all but three gifts are wrapped, and the general air of Christmas excitement has finally hit.
